ABOUT PATRICK:
Patrick’s passion for jazz began at an early age, nurtured by parents who instilled in him a deep appreciation for music almost from birth. As an infant, he was often lulled to sleep by Frank Sinatra’s iconic album In the Wee Small Hours, planting the seeds for a lifelong connection to the Great American Songbook and the jazz tradition.
At age 10, Patrick began studying piano and was performing professionally throughout California’s Monterey Bay region just a few years later. His musical development accelerated through participation in prestigious youth all-star ensembles, which took him across the United States and Canada before he was even old enough to drive. During these formative years, he drew inspiration from legendary pianists including Red Garland, Ahmad Jamal, and Vince Guaraldi, whose artistry helped shape his distinctive musical voice.
While piano was his first passion, Patrick’s talents as a vocalist emerged later. After attending community college, he relocated to Las Vegas to pursue advanced musical studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. There, he earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Jazz and Commercial Music. It was during his first year at UNLV that faculty members recognized his vocal potential and encouraged him to develop singing as a serious artistic pursuit. Inspired by timeless performers such as Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, and Nat King Cole, Patrick embraced a dual career as both pianist and vocalist.
Since establishing himself in Las Vegas, Patrick has become one of the city’s most respected freelance musicians. He previously served as principal pianist at the Bellagio’s acclaimed Mayfair Supper Club and has performed alongside celebrated entertainers including Bob Anderson, Wayne Newton, and Clint Holmes. In addition to his live performances, he has contributed to numerous studio recordings for local artists and is currently developing original projects with his trio.
