This week, Ira spoke with award-winning illusionist Tommy Wind, who is starring in IMPACT: An Explosion of Magic and Music, Tuesdays through Saturdays at 6pm in the Wolf Theater at the Clarion Hotel.
Born and raised in Staten Island, Wind fell in love with magic at the age of seven, when his grandfather showed him his first magic trick, the Vanishing Hanky. From that moment on, he was hooked, and devoted his time to learning everything he could about the art.
Wind is one of the youngest magicians to have achieved the title of Master Illusionist, and has performed for a multitude of audiences in countless venues, ranging from New York City, to Atlantic City, to Las Vegas. He has entertained a vast range of clients, including the NFL and has appeared on the hit NBC show, “I Do.”
The performer of several large-scale illusions, including his Jet airplane and Lamborghini appearances, places Wind in the ranks of some of today’s top performers. He won the “Best Teen Magician of the Year” from the World Magic Awards, and is the youngest magician to have his own show on the Las Vegas Strip.
