This week, Ira Sternberg spoke with comedian Mike Saccone, headlining in the Laugh Factory at the Tropicana Las Vegas through August 27. In this episode of “The Talk About Las Vegas Podcast” Mike talks about his obsession with restoring and collecting pinball machines; his previous life and comedy work in Las Vegas; why he went into semi-retirement after being twice-widowed; exercising the comedy muscle; and his future plans for writing a film.
Mike Saccone began playing Vegas just after he was crowned the Star Search Comedy Champion of 1989 by Ed McMahon. He has co-starred on several network television shows including "Cybill," "The John Larroquette Show" and "Empty Nest." He has been featured on MTV's "Half hour Comedy Hour," VH1's "Stand Up Spotlight," A&E's "An Evening At the Improv" and FOX's "Comic Strip Live."
