The Negroni is a classic cocktail that originated, and is very popular, in Italy. It more recently found popularity in the U.S. as the bartender’s after-shift drink. During Negroni Week (now – Sept. 19), bars (and bartenders) across the country are raising a glass to this classic cocktail, and donating a portion of proceeds from each Negroni sold to charity. This year 100+ Las Vegas bars and restaurants are participating, and each location chooses the charity they wish to support. Venues include Al Solito Posto with two special Negronis and a Negroni Bar pop up on their patio 4-8 pm nightly, all benefitting Keep Memory Alive (Photo courtesy Jose Salinas); Sparrow + Wolf, where the team
has created four original negronis to benefit Slow Food international: Diamontes Inferno, Burn Up All the Thyme, The Bitter Date, and Strawberry Negroni; The Sand Dollar Lounge, Las Vegas’ iconic late night music venue, offering a special Mango Negroni benefitting the Helen
David Relief Fund; and Esther’s Kitchen doing classic Negronis to benefit the USBG
Foundation Bartender Emergency Assistance Program.
