Talking With Augie T. – January 13, 2020

This week, Ira Sternberg spoke with comedian Augie T., who will be headlining in The Comedy Works at The Plaza, January 16-18. In this 30-minute episode of Talk About Las Vegas, Augie talks about growing up in the projects and getting inspiration from teachers who cared; boxing at an early age; deciding at an even earlier age (four) to pursue a life of comedy; why he works “clean”; the best career advice Ray Romano gave him; and how he achieves success despite being dyslexic and dealing with ADHD.

Augie T., a professional comedian, tv and movie actor and radio personality from Hawaii, has been performing for audiences in Hawaii, across the United States and internationally for 28 years.  He was recently named one of the US’s top undiscovered comedians in 2019 by Thrillist magazine.

He was awarded the best comedy show by Honolulu Magazine and has won two Na HokuHano Hano awards, which are Hawaii’s equivalent to the Grammy Award.  He is heard every morning  on the Augie Radio Show on 93.1 Da Paina.

Augie T. has appeared on the Wayne Brady Show, was a regular on Baywatch Hawaii and has also had roles on Hawaii Five-O and Magnum P.I.  His movie credits include Get A Job, Horsepower, Midsummer’s Hawaiian Dream, and he just wrapped filming his latest movie, Aloha Surf Hotel where he plays the lead role.(VIDEO IF AVAILABLE)
