This week, Ira Sternberg spoke with author Jay Wertz.
Author, filmmaker and Weider History Group contributing writer Jay Wertz, who calls Las Vegas one of his homes (but also resides in Phillips Ranch, California), is the author of “D-Day, The Campaign Across France.”
“D-Day: The Campaign Across France,” is the second in a planned 10-volume collection, WAR STORIES: World War II Firsthand, which presents a perspective on the military campaigns and actions of World War II anchored on the stories told by the marines, soldiers, sailors, airmen and other front line personnel who experienced the conflict.
Jay is the producer-director-writer of the award-winning 13-part documentary series, “Smithsonian’s Great Battles of the Civil War” for the Learning Channel. He started his 36-year film and TV career in Hollywood working on military projects and is the author of four other books.
